Man admits to murder of woman in Glasgow

Andrew Wallace has plead guilty to the murder of Julie Reilly while on trial for her death.

Wallace was charged for the murder and dismemberment of Julie Reilly who was reported missing on 15th of February last year.

Police launched a murder hunt in April which uncovered the gruesome remains.

It was revealed that she was killed and dismembered in her flat before her remains were buried in Govan.

Wallace was due to stand trial in the High Court this week, however his plea changed to guilty.

He also plead guilty to attempting to defeat the ends of justice from his attempts to conceal the remains.

He will receive a life sentence for the act, with the duration before possible parole to be decided later.

He was previously charged with culpable homicide in 1992, aged 15.
