Notorious serial killer dies in prison
Angus Sinclair, one of Scotland’s most notorious serial killers has died behind bars at the age of 73.
The killer, who was serving life for four murders and suspected of four more, is said to have died from natural causes at Glenochil prison in Clackmannanshire.
He is referred to as the World’s End killer, as two of his victims were last seen alive leaving the pub in Edinburgh in 1977.
An uncovered psychiatrist’s report from the time said: “I do not think that any form of psychotherapy is likely to benefit his condition and he will constitute a danger from now onwards.
“He is obsessed by sex, and given the minimum of opportunity, he will repeat these offences.”
His dark obsession was evident from an early age and he killed his first victim in 1961, when he was just 16 years old.
