Parents launch campaign to prevent boys attending Scotland’s last all girls’ school

Parents from Notre Dame High School have launched an advertising campaign to keep admission strictly for girls.

A billboard van will run in Glasgow carrying the message “Keep Notre Dame a positive choice for Glasgow’s girls.”

The move comes after Glasgow City Council launched a consultation responding to calls that entrance criteria should be changed with an option to vote for boys being allowed attend the West End school.

However, parents are urging people to vote to retain the single sex status of the school.

Three public meetings will be held with the first one taking place at the school tomorrow.
