Twitter reacts to bizarre Scotrail response
Twitter is renowned for being an unforgiving place.
Scottish twitter is responding to Scotrail bizarre response saying:
“We don’t charge extra to travel at peak times, but we do offer a discount to travel at quieter times”
Hi, we don’t charge extra to travel at peak times, but we do offer a discount to travel at quieter times. ^Paul

Scotrail posted the tweet in response to @cuthberto, who said: “I’m in Edinburgh today for a conference and it finishes just in time for @ScotRail’s ridiculous peak time price hike so you bet your ass I’m just going to be sitting in Waverley for two and half hours looking cross and stubborn.”

No, there’s a standard Anytime fare, Flash. We offer a discount on this to travel at off-peak times. Both Anytime and Off-Peak are regulated fares. ^CT

“Some limited people think that trains travel from one place to another. But due to the Coriolis effect, the trains actually stay in the same place and the planet moves beneath them. For this reason, we will need to raise fares by 1000%. Moving the earth doesn’t come cheap, eh?”

No, we don’t charge extra at peak times, Ross. Standard Anytime fare applies. Off-peak fares are discounted, to encourage travel at quieter times of the day. ^CT
