Alex Salmond’s court case to call next month
Former Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond is set to appear in court next month for a preliminary hearing, it has been confirmed.
The ex-SNP leader was accused of two counts of attempted rape and nine of sexual assault with a total of 14 charges. He denies all the charges.
A spokesperson for the Crown Office said: “The case is schedule to call for a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh on 21st November, 2019.”
Mr Salmond led the Scottish National Party from 2007 to 2014, until the independence referendum loss forced him to resign.
