Nintendo Indie World Showcase: every release you may have missed
Nintendo released another indie-focused showcase yesterday, announcing a plethora of exciting games heading to Switch in the near future.
Whilst a staggering 21 games were announced, regulars to Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase will know that industry-defying news is not to be expected, however, there is still plenty to be excited about.
Here is a rundown of all 21 games heading to the console soon, and four, in particular, that may get you to dust your Nintendo Switch off again.
Road 96
Developed by Digixart, the procedurally generated narrative-based game looks as intriguing as it does artistically stylish. Watch the trailer below to start your unique journey below.
Last Stop
Annapurna Interactive has two titles coming to the Switch this year, with Last Stop being one of them. It features three intertwined stories laced with supernatural elements and looks to be a promising release.
Hindsight
The other title coming from Annapurna Interactive, Hindsight, showcases gameplay of a woman’s life from birth to the present day with her possessions acting as windows to her past.
Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield
Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield looks like a promising parkour-infused 3D runner set in futuristic Tokyo with a funky jazz-infused soundtrack to go with it.
The Longing
Studio Seufz’s The Longing places players loose in the lonely caverns of an underground kingdom to find ways to pass the time as they wait on their king to wake up—all in 400 days in real-time.
There is No Game: Wrong Dimension
Point-and-click adventure There is No Game: Wrong Dimension is offering a comedic journey through video game universes.
Cris Tales
Action-RPG Cris Tales showcases a stunning animated art style and looks to be a promising title heading for console soon.
GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon
GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon is a 2D action title built around martial-arts-style combat and unfolds across a Japanese-inspired underworld.
Aztech Forgotten Gods
Aztech Forgotten Gods tells the story of a young Aztec woman called Achtli on a quest that sees her up against ancient Gods all encompassed in a 3D action-adventure style.
Skul: The Hero Slayer
Skul: The Hero Slayer is a vibrant and beautifully drawn action-packed 2D platformer, pitting the skeletal protagonist against an array of artistic enemies.

KeyWe
Puzzle game KeyWe features two kiwi bird protagonists, Jeff and Debra, and looks like a fun breath of fresh air into the puzzle genre.

Labyrinth City is an adaptation of children’s book series Pierre the Maze Detective, sending players on a journey through a stunning hand-drawn city on a puzzle adventure.
Weaving Tides
Weaving Tides sends players into a textile-like landscape to complete Zelda-reminiscent dungeons as well as exploring puzzles and fantasy creatures.
The House of the Dead: Remake
The House of the Dead: Remake will bring players back to the original 1996 title on a first-person adventure through a haunted mansion to obliterate the undead creations wreaking havoc in the house.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights looks to be an exciting dark fantasy with platformer elements coming later this year.
Beasts of Maravilla Island
Beasts of Maravilla Island will send players on an adventure into a magical world where you can photograph, solve puzzles and explore.

OlliOlli World
OlliOlli is making its long-awaited return in the form of OlliOlli World. The 3D skateboarding boasts a new cartoonish art style and proves to be one to watch later this year.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is an exciting side-scrolling action game clearly inspired by the retro feel that the ‘Turtles’ hold. The beat-em-up adventure looks to be a promising release for fans of the TMNT and indie fans alike.
Fez
Beloved platformer Fez recently celebrated its ninth birthday and is now heading for a release on the Switch. The puzzle game is an exciting classic that many cannot wait to see on their screens once again.
Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals
Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals is the sequel to Night School Studio’s acclaimed supernatural adventure Oxenfree. Set five years after the original events of the first title, players will follow the story of new protagonist Riley in her hometown of Camena. Hopefully, we will see glimpses or easter eggs of previous characters at some point in the game. Definitely one to look out for.
