John Swinney: “I believed I was furnishing the record with any relevant information”
John Swinney insists that he provided official records with all the information that he thought was necessary during the Covid-19 Inquiry today.
Baroness Heather Hallet asked: “Did you not think to question the policy of deletion? Did you not ask somebody?”
This comes after claims that members of the Scottish government were not aware that it was a policy to delete Whatsapp messages.
Mr Swinney denies any wrongdoing .
