King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer, Buckingham Palace confirms
Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer.
The diagnosis follows a routine procedure the King underwent for an enlarged prostate last week.
The palace said the King will step down away from public-facing duties as he seeks treatment.
Buckingham Palace said: “He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.”
It has not been confirmed the type of cancer.
My thoughts and prayers are with His Majesty The King. I wish him the very best for a speedy recovery and return to public life.

My thoughts are also with Her Majesty The Queen and other Members of the Royal Family at what I know will be a worrying time for them all. https://t.co/kM6FDC799F
