Rosette winning Glasgow chef set to appear on The Great British Menu
The head chef of a prize winning Merchant City restaurant is set to appear on a BBC cooking show.
In a Facebook post Mr. Kumar told his followers about the news, saying that he filmed with “some incredible chefs” and had an “amazing time” filming with the team.
He added: “The whole experience has been a real eye opener to the level of skill they brought.
“The first episode for the Scottish region airs on Tuesday night BBC 8pm. Tune in for some fun and mayhem!
“It was a pleasure to meet and compete with some of the best chefs in Scotland.”
The restaurant opened in 2019 and quickly started amassing prizes, such as winning Best in Scotland at the British Curry Awards and recently Mr. Kumar attained two Rosettes in the AA’s Rosette award scheme.
The establishment prides itself on offering and maintaining an exceptional standard of Indian cuisine and it caters to a variety of diets by offering a vegetarian and vegan menu.
