The best places to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Glasgow

The most romantic day of the year is just two days away and whether you’re single, married or somewhere in between, everyone can benefit from a little bit of love. We’ve compiled a list of the best date spots in Glasgow where you can celebrate love.

1. The Grape Escape: Valentines Edition

Elevate your Valentine’s date night with a wonderful mix of music, fine wine and delightful food at the Oran Mor on Byres Road. The evening will allow you to discover wines and cuisine from different places around the globe. Six wines will be beautifully paired with heavenly small plates that revere love. The experience will be elevated by the bar’s live pianist playing some of the greatest love songs. You can buy tickets for £45 here.

2. Seven Deadly Sins at Golf Fang

Golf Fang is encouraging you to embrace your sins and join them for a night of delightful mischief as part of their Seven Deadly Sins for Valentines Day. They are offering three different experiences of crazy golf: the G.O.A.T experience, the sugar daddy and double parked – which all offer a great night of drinks and golf for under £30!

3. Heart Shaped Pizzas

If you and your loved one are looking for a cheaper dining option this Valentine’s Day, Pizza Punks is the ideal spot. Located on St Vincent Street, you and your date can grab two love heart pizzas and two love heart cocktails for £30! The offer is available all day from the 13th to 15th of February and it’s a delicious meal you won’t want to miss! You can walk-in or book here.

4. Flight Club: Brunch Social

If you’re looking to turn Valentine’s into Galentine’s, the Bruch Social at Flight Club is the place to be. This weekend, celebrate the Galentine’s Brunch Social that consists of Prosecco, bottomless pizza and games on their interactive dartboards. You better be quick to book though, as it’s selling fast!

5. The Classic: Dinner and a Movie

If you want to keep it traditional, cinemas in Glasgow are of course showing romantic movies to keep you entertained on Valentine’s Day. Whether you want to laugh or cry, Everyman in Princes Square has a range of films from 10 Things I Hate About You to The Notebook to fulfill your wants. There’s also a bunch of restaurants nearby you can eat at before. If you want to see something more classic or unique, you can head to the Glasgow Film Theatre instead. The GFT is showing the 1938 screwball comedy Bringing Up Baby, cited as being Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant’s “effervescent best.” But, if you’re looking for something more modern, you can see Steve McQueen’s Lover’s Rock instead, which is hailed as “a lovingly-crafted ode to Black joy.”

We hope this list has helped you decide how to spend the day, whether it’s Valentines, Galentine’s or Palentine’s.
