Calum Ferrie extends Spiders stay to 2027
Queen’s Park received a major boost this week, when goalkeeper Calum Ferrie penned a new three-year-contract extension with the Spiders.
Named as the PFA Scottish Championship Goalkeeper of the Season last year, Ferrie made his 100th appearance for the club on the weekend.
The Englishman found himself behind Callan McKenna at the start of the season, who has since moved to Premier League side Bournemouth.
Ferrie reclaimed the number one shirt from the 16-year-old in September, playing a key role in Queen’s rise up the table under new gaffer Callum Davidson.
After sealing his new deal, the shot stopper said: “We started the season poorly but we are looking up the table again however we are still being careful that we do not get sucked into things down at the bottom.
“We all want to go in the one direction, which is up, and the new management team would not have come here if they did not have those ambitions.
“I would not be signing my contract if I did not have those ambitions either.”
7th place Queen’s Park travel to face league leaders Dundee United this weekend.
