Bridges and Blindboy discussed their creative processes

The veteran Glasgow comedian revealed that he’s writing a new book on a live podcast at the Pavilion.

Kevin Bridges was interviewed by Irish podcaster, Blindboy Boatclub last night in the Glasgow pavilion theatre as part of the latter’s live podcast tour of the UK.

The pair discussed everything from Clydebank Anderson Shelters to the Marti Pellow’s love of garibaldis whilst also touching on Bridges’ early career and his rise in comedy world.

The two also spent a significant time discussing their creative processes when Blindboy mentioned that Bridges was writing a book.

The Glasgow comic joked that he hadn’t announced it yet and remained coy about its subject matter, but admitted that he was in the process writing at the moment.

Along with his first book, The Black Dog, Bridges has also written an autobiography and spoke passionately about his life-long love of writing and how it’s influenced his comedy.

The Blindboy Boatclub podcast is currently on tour of the across the UK talking to different guests in each city and promoting his book Topographica Hibernica.

The Irish podcaster revealed that he would be at the Edinburgh Book Festival this year.
