Queens Park: Spiders’ skipper Dom Thomas eyes Championship safety
QUEENS PARK captain Dom Thomas believes the club can get back to their best next season if they can stave off relegation tomorrow night.
The Spiders currently sit 8th in the Scottish Championship just one point above Inverness. A 5-0 win over already relegated Arbroath last week, including a brace from the Spiders’ skipper, has left Callum Davidson’s men in a favourable position.
Match or better Inverness’ result and the boys from Mount Florida can look forward to another year in the Scottish Championship.
Hampden will play host to the crucial match with Airdrieonians who themselves have already secured a promotion play-off spot.
Meanwhile Inverness welcome Greenock Morton at the Caledonian Stadium in the final night of the regular season.
Last season Queen’s Park came within 90 minutes of a spot in the Scottish Premiership but suffered an agonising 5-3 defeat at home to Dundee on the final day to end a remarkable season in the club’s history.
But captain Dom Thomas insists the future is bright if his side can finish the job on Friday night.
