Storm Eowyn: Businesses across Scotland discover damage as full impact revealed

Many businesses were forced to close their doors as a red weather warning was issued as Glasgow and wider Scotland received a battering from hurricane strength winds on Friday.
Storm Eowyn caused carnage across the central belt and beyond, bringing the nation close to a standstill.
One business effected by the storm was And So to Bed, on Glasgow’s Maryhill Road.
The shop took severe damage, with one window completely shattering after being struck by flying debris.
Neighbours were quick to alert the business of the unfortunate events, with the company having to build a makeshift barrier in place of the window until such time a repair can take place.
Elaine Stewart, who works in the shop, was not on shift as the events unfolded, however says that since the severe weather warning was in place, the business did not miss out on too much trade.
Elaine continued by saying that business has not been off the phone to try and organise a repair, but fear they will have to wait until the weather becomes even calmer as the repair is a very delicate process.
The business in Glasgow’s west end is not the only one to have suffered, with repairs needed to shops city wide.
