Deadline Day: Celtic Eye Miller, Aberdeen in Striker Talks and Clement wants Cerny Permanently

Jota stole the headlines at Fir Park on Sunday, but 18-year-old Lennon Miller is now the talking point in Motherwell.

The midfielder, who is currently out injured, is being linked with a deadline-day move to Celtic.

His return to action is imminent, with an asking price potentially over £4 million.

Kyogo has already left Celtic this January, and Jota has made a sensational return. Kieran Tierney has put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement and will return in the summer.

Brendan Rodgers is keen to bolster his squad with Champions League knockout football returning to Parkhead.

He told Sky Sports, “We want to have the strongest squad.

“A couple of players have gone out, so we want to get into the market to get the strongest squad that we can to finish off the season.”

Rangers have had a relatively quiet window so far, but there could still be some action before the 11 pm deadline.

Philippe Clement is keen to sign Vaclav Cerny on a permanent deal but admits there are some financial restrictions.

“Those are no questions for me, I’m not the financial guy of the club. Of course, I want to keep them.”

Aberdeen are locked in negotiations with Royal Charleroi striker Oday Dabbagh. A loan with an option to buy is being discussed for the 26-year-old Palestinian.
