Glasgow M8 Closures

Major bridge repair works are to be carried out on eastbound carriageway between junctions 18 and 16.
The scheme is set to benefit vehicles using the route regularly by improving the carriageways safety and reducing its need to be worked on in the future.
Infrastructure support company Amey have started undertaking a mandatory safety platform installation at junction 13.
The works which have already begun, will not be completed until March 19 2025 and will be carried out between 8pm-6am on weeknights only.
Lane closures will be required on the east and westbound carriageways prior to the Provan Viaducts as well as overnight closures.
There are alternate routes available on Amey’s website as well as signposting on the motorway, currently travel times through the area are only expected to add 5 to 10 minutes to those using its journey.
From February 17th to March 5th there will be overnight closures of Craigendmuir street and traffic will be diverted via the junction 12 slip road and from the 3rd of March to the 15th there will be overnight closures of Provan Road with multiple diversions available.
Although all schemes are weather dependent so are likely to be cancelled or experience cancellations.
