Motherwell Appoint Kevin Wimmer

Motherwell FC have appointed Michael Wimmer as their new head coach.
The German boss joins the club as they look to charge into the top 6 of the Scottish Premiership table.
Whilst the coach is a left-field choice, there is also excitement surrounding the appointment.
Wimmer is known for building up youth prospects following his stints at Stuttgart and Austria Wienna.
Motherwell are no strangers to youth prospects flourishing and being sold for millions. David Turnbull and Lennon Miller are two players who flourished in a Motherwell side when young, and both have had big clubs sniffing around them.
The head coach also brings Ahmet Koc with him as his assistant manager. The pair have worked closely since 2013 at Nuremberg and Austria Vienna.
After hundreds of managers applied for the job. Chairman, Kyrk MacMillan, said that: “Michael was the standout candidate. We conducted strenuous due diligence to ensure this appointment would push the club in the correct direction.”
Guiding Wienna to a top six finish last year, the sought-after German said that he is “ecstatic” to join the club. “I can’t wait to meet the supporters. The passion and enthusiasm are admirable, and it will be a huge contributing factor in our success going forward.
