No more re-fills: Eco store shuts down

Local community eco-shop saddened unable to say open

After calls to the local community for support, an eco-shop in Skiving streets is unable to stay open.

Neighbourhood is an eco store that provides re-fill option to people who want to reduce packaging waste.

The shop has decided to draw the curtain on February 26, which the owners described as a difficult decision.

They previously reached out to the community on social media to prose the idea of turning the shop into a community owned asset.

However, the plans fell through and the owners have been left with little choice.

Rhona, the owner of Neighbourhood said in her announcement: “As of Thursday we will have a 30% reduction on all stock. Please come down and buy what you need, we need all the money we can raise over these next couple of weeks to help us through the closing down process and pay off our final bills.

“Sorry I couldn’t make it work, I know a lot of you will be really disappointed to see us go but unfortunately running a small food store in these times has proven too difficult for me to continue.”
